There are many Tanzanian dinosaurs that lived in Tanzania. Some of these amazing creatures are the Tanzanian sauropod and the Tanzanian stegosaurus. These two dinosaurs roamed what is now Tanzania, feasting on leaves, plants and other vegetation while protecting themselves from predators like the Allosaurus.
What are some of the Tanzanian dinosaurs?
Tanzanian Sauropod: Tanzanian dinosaurs that have four legs and a long neck. They lived in Tanzania and fed on leaves, plants and other vegetation while protecting themselves from predators such as Allosaurus!
Tanzanian stegosaurus: It is the largest land animal that came out of Africa. It had three rows of plates running down its back from which spikes protruded. The Tanzanian stegosaurus was a plant-eating dinosaur that roamed what is now Tanzania until it became extinct in the late Cretaceous, along with many other animals, when an asteroid hit the Earth and wiped out most terrestrial life.
How did they become extinct?
The day any creature goes extinct will always be a sad day. But the stagurus of Tanzania did not become extinct because of a sudden event like an asteroid falling to Earth and killing all life. They slowly became extinct over time as plants began to become scarce in Africa and other animals that could feed on Tanzanians began to populate Tanzania more frequently than before.
