Ligabuesaurus was a genus of titanosaurid sauropod dinosaur that lived in the Early Cretaceous in what is now Argentina. "Ligabuesaurus" is a generic name in honor of Giancarlo Ligabue. At the same time, leanzai is a specific name in honor of the geologist Dr. Héctor A. Leanza, who discovered the skeleton of the Lohan Cura Formation.
It was a huge herbivorous dinosaur with a small head, even compared to other sauropods. It had a long neck, a long whip-like tail and ridges formed by the nasal bones. It stood on its only four "broad legs". Its forelimbs were stout and often longer than its hind limbs. It was armored with a small mosaic of small beaded scales surrounding the larger scales.
Ligabuesaurus is estimated to have been about 24.0 m long.
It was a huge herbivorous dinosaur that probably fed on the abundant plant life of the Late Cretaceous, from algae to conifers.
