Yuanmousaurus was a sauropod dinosaur that lived in the Middle Jurassic period of China. It was recovered from the Zhanghe Formation in Yuanmou County, Yunnan Province, in 2000. It was one of the largest animals ever to have walked the Earth.

It was a relatively giant sauropod estimated to be 17 meters long. It had a very long neck, a tail and a tiny head. It moved with thick pillar-like legs. It was a herbivorous dinosaur that probably fed on conifers, ginkgos, seed ferns, cycads, bennettitalean, ferns, club mosses and horsetails. It has slender forelimbs ending in pillar-shaped hands built to support weight. Yuanmousaurus traveled in herds and reproduced by laying eggs.
