Tanius was a genus of hadrosauroid dinosaur that lived in the Late Cretaceous of China. It was described and named in 1929 by Carl Wiman, it is Tanius sinensis. The name means "Tan's" in honor of the Chinese paleontologist Tan Xichou. It was one of the many known Asian hadrosauroid dinosaurs, but was not very well represented.

It was a herbivorous dinosaur that walked as a biped and as a quadruped. It was a flat-headed hadrosauroid dinosaur, roughly between the early iguanodonts and the more advanced hadrosaurs.

It is estimated that Tanius was about 7 m long and weighed 2,000 kg.
