Lapparentosaurus was a genus of sauropod dinosaur that lived in the Middle Jurassic. It was found in Madagascar (Isalo III Formation). Richard Lydekker named it in 1895. It was one of the largest animals that lived on land.

Lapparentosaurus had a small head, a very long neck and a tail. It was a huge and bulky dinosaur that could reach an enormous size. It moved on four thick, pillar-like legs. It was an herbivorous dinosaur that probably fed on conifers, gingkos, seed ferns, cycads, bennettitalean, ferns, clubmosses and horsetails. Like any other dinosaur, Lapparentosaurus reproduced by laying eggs.

Lapparentosaurus is estimated to have been about 15 meters long.
