Hadrosaurus was a valid genus of hadrosaurid dinosaurs that lived during the Cretaceous period between about 80 and 75 million years ago.

The name means "duck-billed lizard." It lived in what is now New Jersey. They were the duck-billed family of herbivorous duck-billed dinosaurs. Like other duck-billed dinosaurs, Hadrosaurus was bipedal, or walked on two legs and forelegs to support itself while feeding, like all hadrosaurs.

An interesting fact about Hadrosaurus is that only one skeleton has been found, but unfortunately, there is no skull. So paleontologists recreated this dinosaur using the head of a Griposaurus and discovered that Hadrosaurus behaved like the Griposaurus.

Hadrosaurus was a herbivorous dinosaur that traveled across North America in herds and lived on vegetation such as club mosses and seed ferns.

Hadrosaurs are estimated to range in size from 10 to 65 feet long. It had horny, toothless beaks and hundreds of cheek teeth on the sides of its jaws. It had a stiff tail that was used for balance. They had hoof-like nails on their feet and rough skin.

Hadrosaurs had up to 960 cheek teeth, so duck-billed dinosaurs had the most teeth.
