Albertaceratops was a genus of centrosaurine-horned dinosaurs that lived in the Cretaceous period. In 2001, a single complete skull known as Albertaceratops was discovered. The name means "Alberta horned face".
It was a relatively large ceratopsian with long arching horns, described in 2007. Albertaceratops was quite rare because of its large horns over the eyes with two unusually pointed projections on the top of the frill. It had no nasal horn, but a bony growth on the top of its snout. It was a herbivore that ate a combination of leaves, twigs and seeds. It stood on four legs. Like other dinosaurs, it reproduced by laying eggs.
The Albertaceratops reached 5.8 meters and 3,500 kilograms.
