Prenocephale was a small pachycephalosaurid dinosaur that lived in the Late Cretaceous. It lived in the highland forests, not the deserts of what is now Mongolia. The name means "tilted head," in the large domed roof of the skull. Prenocephale had an 8-inch thick, rounded, sloping skull that was used to protect the brain from damage during frontal collisions. The dome was large with a row of small bony spikes and protrusions going back to the robust shelf at the back of the skull.
There are really no clues as to what its body looked like, but scientists assumed it had a stout body, thick neck, short forelimbs and tall hind legs. It has very good eyesight, and its teeth were simple. It was a herbivorous dinosaur that ate soft leaves or fruits or ate insects if it could catch them.
Prenocephale was estimated to weigh about 130 kilograms and was about 2.4 meters long.
