Podokesaurus was a genus of coelophid dinosaur that lived in the Early Jurassic period in what is now the eastern United States. In 1910, geologist Mignon Talbot discovered the first fossils near Mount Holyoke. In 1911 it was named and described as Podokesaurus holyokensis. The name means "Holyoke's fast-legged lizard."
It was a small bipedal dinosaur of about 90 cm in length and 0.3 m. It was a fleet-footed predator that hunted in packs. However, there was very little information about them.
It was a carnivorous dinosaur that probably ate small herbivores.
