Bellusaurus was a small short-necked sauropod dinosaur that lived in China during the Middle Jurassic period. The remains were found in rocks of the Shishugou Formation in the Junggar Basin in northeastern China. The name Bellusaurus sui was derived from the Latin Bellus, meaning small, delicate and beautiful, as these sauropods were small and lightly built.
There is not much more information about Bellusaurus; other than that, it was a herbivorous dinosaur and stood on four legs. However, like any other dinosaur, it reproduced by laying eggs.
Bellusaurus was estimated to be about 4.8 meters long.
