Anchiceratops was an extinct genus of chasmosaurine ceratopsid dinosaur that lived in the Cretaceous period and inhabited North America. In 1912, it was discovered by an expedition from the American Museum of Natural History led by Barnum Brown along the Red Deer River in Alberta. The name means «near horned face” comes from the Greek words «anchi» meaning «near», «keras» meaning «horn», and «ops» meaning «face»

Anchiceratops was a medium-sized ceratopsid quadrupedal herbivore just like other ceratopsids. It had a parrot-like beak, three horns on its face and a long frill extending from the back of its head. It had a single horn on its snout and two horns above the eyes. The neck frill was highly distinctive because of its rectangular shape and edged by large triangular bony projections.
