Yimenosaurus was an extinct genus of plateosid sauropodomorph dinosaur that lived in China in the Early Jurassic. The name means "Yiman reptile" after the father of Chinese paleontology, known as C.C. Young in English. It was one of the huge sauropodomorph dinosaurs we had discovered so far.

They were quadrupeds and became the largest animals that ever walked the Earth. It was one of the largest animals that grew to enormous sizes. It was a herbivorous dinosaur that browsed higher than any other contemporary herbivore, which allowed it access to the tall foliage of trees.

It has a light, tiny skull at the end of a long neck and a long tail that serves as a counterweight. It has weak, leaf-shaped or spoon-shaped teeth. It had stomach stones that helped digest the tough plant fibers instead of grinding teeth.

It is estimated that Yimenosaurus was about 7 m long and weighed 700 kg.
