Therizinosaurus was a huge theropod dinosaur that lived during the Late Cretaceous period, about 77 million years ago. Therizinosaurus had the longest claws of all known animals and served multiple functions such as defense against predators and in intraspecific fighting, such as fighting for territory or mating. They were very tall, and possibly reached into the treetops or pulled tree branches into their mouths. The claws of Therizinosaurus were as long as short swords, or about 3 feet long.

It lived in a terrestrial habitat and seemed to have adapted to eating plants. It had a large stomach that allowed them to digest a large amount of plants using its beak.

It was one of the strangest dinosaurs, although it probably lived mainly on plants, closer examination revealed that they probably ate some animals as well. It had strange feet, most theropods used only three, but therizinosaur feet rested on four toes while standing and walking.

Therizinosaurus means "scythe lizard" and was first discovered in 1948 by a Soviet-Mongolian fossil expedition in southwestern Mongolia.

Therizinosaurus weighed about 3 tons and was about 33 feet long and 10 feet high at the hip.

Can a Therizinosaurus kill a Rex?
Probably yes. Since the Therizinosaurus had the largest claws of all known animals, it could cut it and hit and kill the Rex.But let's go into detail to find out more about which would win between Therizinosaurus and T-rex.Therizinosaurus was armed with deadly claws on each hand that served a dual purpose and were used both to retrieve food and to defend against predators. It had a larger size and armament; this guy had an excellent chance of winning. The T-rex technique using "the element of surprise" would be a crucial advantage in this fight, plus it had greater strength and a massive bite. This would indeed be a fight worthy of a king (Rex) and a Therizinosaurus. If the Therizinosaurus can defend itself against the T-rex technique, it will immediately be an advantage for its side. It may be able to land a few blows with its claws injuring the predator or frighten the tyrant with its large, deadly claws. However, the T-Rex may win if it can ambush the Therizinosaurus. This is an all-out battle to the death and a very even match.

Is Therizinosaurus aggressive?
Therizinosaurus usually ignore other creatures, however, like any other animal, when summoned, they respond aggressively. And you wouldn't want it to get angry.
