Liliensternus was an extinct genus of basal neotropod dinosaur that lived in the latter part of the Triassic period. It roamed what was to become western Europe. In 1934, it was named and described by German paleontologist Friedrich von Huene. Fossils were found in places such as Germany and Lucerne Switzerland. The genus name means \"agile lizard\" because of its long legs and relatively light body. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
