Fukuiraptor was a medium-sized theropod dinosaur that lived in the Cretaceous period and inhabited Asia. The name means \"Fukui thief\" which belonged to a family of raptors. A large claw or \"killer claw\" was first discovered during an excavation on the small island in Japan. Further examination found that Fukuiraptor was closely related to the better known Allosaurus. Scientists believed that the huge claw found was an iconic claw of the raptor family. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite its size, it was large enough to catch lizards, passing pterosaurs, or possibly even fish or anything it wanted. It had long arms with large claws used for skillful fishing. It was a bipedal dinosaur that walked on two hind legs with three toes with sharp claws on the ends. The tail was long and was used to aid balance. It had sharp teeth used to tear the flesh of its unfortunate victims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
